Akhenaten & Nefertiti — Amarna Diptych

Akhenaten and Nefertiti evokes the enigmatic intimacy of the Amarna period. The two panels appear as archaeological fragments – separated by time, but brought together to reveal the whole image and its search for Eternal Love.

Three presences shape the composition: Akhenaten and Nefertiti, reaching out to each other across the dividing line, and the Aten – the solar disk above them, a symbol of divine light, life and spiritual union.

Worn symbols, cracked surfaces and layered textures give the work the character of a rediscovered ancient wall. Conceived as a single composition, the work is offered exclusively as a diptych.
